Description
Weapons Carrier: Part of the Children's War Machines.
Have I mentioned how much fun these are to make? I mean they're challenging, but they really are fun. I removed a large portion of skin and nail from my middle finger sanding the bastard rocks/cannon-balls whatever, and I can still say that!
I'm usually not interested in using my works as vehicles for political or social commentary, but in the face of the current climate of war mongering, I feel impelled to. I suppose they merely reference the old "fighting for peace is like fucking for virginity" adage. Big boys and their toys, all trying to prove that what they're doing is worthwhile.
I hope these works won't really need the above disclaimer, and will be able to survive on their own.
On a purely formalist level, I was also interested in making a series of works that used more "archaic" joining processes.
I hope these works will have a naivety, but at the same time have a sinister edge.

Very neat idea. This one doesn't strike me as sinister though, it looks like a toy for a child. Not totally out of line with your message about boys and their toys though.
