Curvature - View I by KateStehr Curvature - View I by KateStehr
This work is for the 6 x 6" sculpture prize, although it'd be smaller than those dimensions. The smallest work I've ever done actually.

Still not convinced on these sized works, although I think this is the most successful so far.

It gives a strange sense, acting on the life and hard to step the stairs behind the life maybe...Good form
and I like that you use different colors of wood on some parts of the piece. It looks very good...:aww:

Thanks for your thoughtful comment Ezilda! There seems to be two camps on the different wood colours. Some like it, some think I should white wash over the whole lot to give a more unified look. Personally, I really enjoy working with various coloured woods!

Cheers,
K.

It kind of reminds me of a theatre set for a Shakespeare play..!! I love the enclosing nature of this... I just wish I was really tiny so I could play on it!! :giggle:
Beautiful work

Excellent! I really want people to feel like they could inhabit the space. To explore it like you would when you were a child! So it was great to read your comment.

You're the second person to tell me they think it has a theatrical feel! :)

Cheers,
K.
